33 The wild beast has a name, and this name is a number: 666. Six, as a number, is associated with Jehovah’s enemies. A Philistine man of the Rephaim was of “extraordinary size,” and his “fingers and toes were in sixes.” (1 Chronicles 20:6.) King Nebuchadnezzar erected a golden image 6 cubits in breadth and 60 cubits high, to unify his political officials in one worship. When God’s servants refused to worship the image of gold, the king had them thrown into a fiery furnace. (Daniel 3:1-23.) The number six falls short of seven, which stands for completeness from God’s standpoint. Therefore, a triple six represents gross imperfection.

A name identifies a person. So how does this number identify the beast? John says that it “is a man’s number,” not that of a spirit person, so the name helps to confirm that the wild beast is earthly, symbolizing human government. Just as six fails to measure up to seven, so 666—six to the third degree—is a fitting name for the world’s gigantic political system that fails so miserably to measure up to God’s standard of perfection. The world’s political wild beast rules supreme under the name-number 666, while big politics, big religion, and big business keep that wild beast functioning as an oppressor of mankind and a persecutor of God’s people.

The truth is the number 666 is only the mark of the beast. Its means that if the devil in the future marks you with that number, your soul belongs to him forever and their no way out. Another reveal my dad got from god is that 666 stands for "gays" a man is 6 and a woman is 9, which is perfect harmony 69, but 666 comes in terms for gays as, a man is 6 and the other man is 6, the third six is the interest the two men have towards each other to get married and that the last 6; 666. that vision has been revieled to my father. If you want to understand the bible better, ask the holy spirit to enter you so it can help you understand the bible better and understand passages you dont understand or comprehend. The bible wouldnt be understood by people that has no belief in god. Hope that helps, God bless :)

The number 7 in the bible represents heavenly perfection.

The number 3 in the bible is used for emphases

since 6 is short of 7, it represents sin or missing the mark.

666 (3 sixes) emphases the imperfection of the wild beast.

If I remember correctly historians have found that the original hebrew number was something like 646.

In hebrew society numbers were often substituted for names and places. This was done so the ruling class (romans) would not find out who they were really discussing.

646 stood for Ceaser and revelations had to do with the evil of rome.

Since then it has been translated and changed to 666.

Yes. Read Revelation 13:18. It will reveal that the number is that "of a man, and his number is six hundred, threescore (score=20, so threescore is 20x 3=60), and six". In Biblical numerology, the number 6 represents man and all his imperfections. The Antichrist (from a spiritual perspective) will be using this numerical prefix to imitate the triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) through demonically charged man- made repersentation (Antichrist, False Prophet, Satan). Satan has always craved the worship that the Church gives God, so this "false Trinity" will be readily acceptable to those who had a "strong delusion come upon them so that they might believe the LIE".

No, but one thought is it is the number of the beast in the translations from Aramaic, while the number is 616 from the Koine(A Greek dialect). Some Bibles have this footnoted.

You are getting into gematria, or sacred geometry here. The phrase, let him who has understanding, is a cue to refer to gematria.

Gematria includes a world of things, but in this context, is taken to mean the code to decipher the name. All Aramaic(Jewish from that era) had numbers assigned to letters. This appears to have spread into the Hellenic(Greek) world.

One interpretation was that John of Patmos was referring to NERO Caesar, especially since his name could be translated into those numbers.

It has been used to point at many subjects over the years.

Noone really knows.

666 is human power. The power of humankind. I really don't know what it has to do with anything though. Perhaps it's when church joins state and then the world gets totally messed up.

Supposedly, the name of the pope is supposed to add up to 666 in roman numerals.

it could be a lot of things, but it will be a man's number. . (it could be three sets of six digits each, or something like that. . giving enough numbers for everyone in the world to have their own unique identifying number. . ). .

it will be a number that everyone will have to have on their right hand or forehead to buy, sell, or hold a job. . so it's likely it'll be a computer-readable mark (like the bar code thingy) that identifies you when you buy something. . like using a credit card. .

but God knew about it and had it written down 2000 years ago, proving it's from Him

6 is the number of man. 666 is the number of a leader... supposedly his name. Though in order for that to work right, his name would have to be in Greek, as it is Greek letters that are used for this type of numerology.

Odd though, numerology is normally considered "witchcraft"... weird how Christians use it as well.
