To answer your question...YES, birds do pass gas. In the intestinal tract there is bacteria that has the job of breaking down food nutrients. This bacteria is actually what causes the gas in all animals including us humans!

I think my bird does... cuz I am just sitting in my room and all of a sudden I smell this strange smell that smells like my bird but worse!

No actually they can't. Nor can they burp. If you were to give a sea gull an alka seltzer hidden in apiece of bread or hot dog...they eventually (1 min or so) will implode. Not that I know this from personal experience or any thing
