Don't be so paranoid, watch your kids, tell them it's dangerous near the street? Not enough? Move.
Cops can't go around taking special requests for catching speeders. Just keep your children out of the street and it will be fine.

Call the road commission/city and start a petition for speed bumps... and "children at play" signs.. write down license plates of speeders, get witnesses.

Most major police departments have a traffic division. Call them, or your community enforcement officer and let them know that you need some localized enforcement on your street.
They should respond to those sort of needs.

Take some pics of your street and take them to the city or road division and ask them to look at the situation and make them to install speed-bumps and signs and cameras.

There is one old saying which I believe in your case.."Slow but sure", otherwise you rather redirect your routing to the nearby street. Play safe please....(but it's fun to do the speeding sometime on the isolate road somewhere in the desert though).

Call the police, record license tag numbers and set up a video camera. Do these people live on that street? Track them down to their home and try to talk civilly to them about it. Good Luck and God Bless.

Call your city hall to see if they can install speed bumps on your street. If that doesnt work, call the police to see if they can patrol more frequently.
