If you are like most people with MCS then use brewers yeast avaiable at most stores crush up and put into dog food moist preferably the give him a bath in Ivory soap Dishwashing licquid with lots of warm water so it makes a good lather then bathe him in it since fleas and other like insects breathe through their feet it will kill them they suffocate and it will clean the dog and not have an offensive scent to you hope that helps you Gorbalizer

You need to be careful with puppies - if you cannot use the flea shampoo can you bring your puppy to a dog groomer and let them shampoo the dog?
There are no herbal effective treatments for getting live fleas off a puppy or dog - you need the flea shampoo or a flea dip - You can try to use the flea comb but the fleas are so small and they move so fast - you can try a regular bath with regular dog shampoo, tearless I hope, and then with the water running use the flea comb and keep combing until you no longer see any fleas
And don't forget when a dog has fleas and you plan on giving the dog a bath, place a little baby oil on a cotton ball and place at least one cotton ball inside each dog ear - you do this to prevent the fleas from escaping from the skin and the water/shampoo into the dogs ears - fleas can lay eggs in the dogs ears and that is not good for the dog at all.
Good Luck and happy combing - maybe you can have a friend help you with the flea combing - 4 eyes are always better then 2

There is a book called Natural Pet Cures. In the book it states to slice and boil citrus fruit (orange, lemons, etc). After boiling for 5 minutes, let cool and then pour into a spray bottle. Spray the house, furniture and pets. Supposedly fleas don't like citrus. I also put a flea collar on them for 2 weeks, never have had fleas since.

Dogs can get a vaccination from the vet for that.
Keep in mind though that fleas will lay eggs off the dogs body, usually round the skirting boards so that will need looked at as well. Alas skirting boards cannot get an injection and a spray is usually needed. Can your doctor not prescribe you some antihistamines for the short time that will take to dissipate?

Ivory dish washing liquid will take care of the on the dog, but you need to treat the areas where he travels. The pup will be reinfested very quickly if you don't. There's organic flea control available, I know thru exterminators. You can check with your vet and local feed stores or larger pet stores to find it at one of those. My Dad uses Ivory dish liquid, mineral oil and garlic juice on his fruit trees and it does keep insect's off them. Try it, it can't harm plant's or animals. The recipe for that mixture is 1 oz/1 oz/ 1oz/ to 16 oz of water. Good luck. Hope you find the help.

first off please be very care full with using flea and tick shampoos on a puppy. at this point their skin is very sensitive and it can burn their skin. also the same will go for a flea collar and since your allergic to chemicals then it wouldn't be good for you either. try using front line you can get it from your local vet clinic it works great and i make sure if you asked they would place it on your dog for you. it doesn't go one the hair it goes on the skin so you shouldn't be bothered by it. good luck.

Dawn dish liquid, will kill off the fleas. My vet recommend that when I got my puppy and when I rescued some stray kittens. It worked really well.
