Because we believe what the Word of God say's and it say's those that choose not to believe are destined to go to hell. We are not judging non-believers merely standing in agreement with what the God we trust in say's.

Only the individual can account for his or own mistakes in this life. God is the judge and we are not to judge. However we are called to hold each other up and accountable for our mistakes. Not to judge but admonish. I would rather someone point out my mistakes so I am able to decide what I am going to do about it than sit around and watch me fall on my rear. It is about caring and loving each other enough to face the kind of ridicule and "judgment" from people who do not understand what you are doing when you point something out. Those who admonish in a "judging" way need admonished themselves. Just caring enough to prevent someone from making a big mistake is no reason to get your shorts in a bunch.

Good question.
I am no one's judge. I don't go around telling people they're going to Hell, and if I want to know if I'm going to Hell, I'll ask God directly. No other human being, no matter how 'holy' knows the answer to that, so I don't bother asking others at all.

No one can judge but God. To judge another is a sin

Only God knows what is in a person's heart. Only God can judge where a person will spend eternity. HOWEVER, it is pretty clear that when someone straps bombs to themselves, hops on a bus, and detonates the bomb killing hundreds of innocent people, that clearly violates THOU SHALT NOT MURDER.

You should try being at witch at 14! When I was at school, I had a girl in my class that would constantly tell me I was going to burn in hell. I just replied with the same statement everytime - How can I burn in a place I don't believe in?

I think a majority of christians believe it or not are not so judgemental. It is the vocal ones on television and puplits (robertson, falwell, kirk cameron, etc) that give christians a bad name. They don't represent the majority, but it appears like they do.

THey themselves think they have the power to judge.
It might also be a superiority complex.
However that doesnt mean one cant "discern" negative
habits, and actions...we all judge to a certain extent
to decide whom will be our friends, who we stay away
from, which activities we wont participate in etc.

Because they do not understand that it is not any one sin that send you to hell, but that you are separated from God because of your sins.
It could be said that the only sin that causes you to go to hell is rejecting Christ as Lord and Saviour.

They are uninformed if they haven't learned that you don't go to hell for anything you DO, but for whether you BELIEVE in Jesus Christ and have COMMITTED yourself to Him.
If you don't, God will judge you, but it will just be the result of your unbelief. You send YOURSELF to hell.
