My son is 1 and does NOT like wearing his diaper. He walks around the house taking it off all day, I have to keep chasing him to put it on and he shakes his head no like he hates it. I have had to wake up several of times due to him taking it off. He ends up peeing on the floor and in his bed without it on. he has no rash, his diapers get changed all the time. anyone else have this problem? do they just like being naked?

LOL! My 13 month old twins are doing the exact same thing right now! I have to put onsies or one piece outfits on them so that they can't get to their diaper. (That's if I can even get their diapers on!)
You might want to start potty training him. Don't let people tell you it's too early, because lots of babies get trained at around 12 months. He seems to know that he's wearing a diaper and that it gets wet, so why not try!?

You can always try putting the diaper on backwards which makes it more difficult to get off.

Another way would to be to put on a pair of snug fitting shorts or something like that over the diaper.

If he is wearing cloth diapers then he will train younger than if he were wearing disposables because he can feel the wet and they get uncomfortable and he wants to get out of them as quickly as he can. Disposables always feel dry so the baby doesn't feel the discomfort as easily.

Good luck to you both.

I put those onesies on my son to keep him from taking his diaper off. Boys just naturally want to run free. I remember growing up that it was always the boys in my family taking off their diapers and running away from the adults trying to cover their parts. LOL.

Try introducing him to the potty. If he understands that there is a place for him to go if he wants to be free, then he just may use it (but don't bet on it). I also switched my little one to Pampers trainers. He has a harder time navigating to get them off, because they don't have tabs he can pull on.

Maybe you should buy him a potty chair. He might not potty train this early but maybe you could at least sit him on it when he takes his diaper off and explain it to him. Then put him diaper back on and repeat again if he takes it off.

My neice did this too but her problem was that she just wanted attention and she knew she got it if she took off her diaper.

Hi, try putting duct tape over the velcro on the diaper and put a onesie on him. My son did that and so did a couple of my friends kids. At night try one of those sleepers that zips all the way up with the button closure on top. But always having a onesie on did the trick for me. GOOD LUCK!!

The potty training idea is absolutely the wrong idea. A 1 year old is not ready to be potty trained. My son went through that stage too and I just put pants on him all the time, or a one piece pajama outfit. Those really worked, the one piece pajama outfits, because he didn't know how to take them off!

Sounds like you should start introducing him to the potty! I would take him in with dad, or you every time you go potty, (probably dad since he's a boy) and that way he can see what useing the potty is all about, and eventually he will catch on too. Trust me, I would take the opprotunity to do it while he is this young, that way you don't have to wait till he's like 2 or 3! Good luck :)

Toddlers love to be naked - it's a toddler thing. He likes to feel the breeze on all his little boy parts!

Try making him wear little overalls; it will be harder for him to remove and get to the diaper than just regular pants. If he still takes those off, I know one woman who make her twin toddlers wear one-piece sleeper put on backwards so that the zippers went up their backs. She says it looked weird, but that it was the only thing that worked for her.

Try potty training him and give him training under instead of diapers, maybe if you get underwear with a character that he like on them he will leave them on. You could get lucky and he'll get potty trained and save you a lot of money (no more diapers).
