Most men take time to warm up to a child as they cause the brain to start churning imformation; and thinking is always hard for men. They tend to live for the moment and beer; anything else is outside their normal envelope so it takes some getting used to.

It means he doesn't know squat about kids. He is afraid of the little alien like beings. Give him some time and pointers on how to make friends with your kid/kids and he will probably be fine. I was terrified of kids because all men know that if the kids don't like you you are toast with Momma.
Have a date at the zoo, a disney movie, go cart races, pizza...whatever, but get your kid involved. If he balks and runs, good...you need to find someone that is OK with you having kids already and don't need to waste time on a doomed, can't go anywhere situation. If he sticks; good...now you are all in the game together.

Reality just hit that's all.... yea you told him you had a kid but that's different then walking in and seeing her.. Kid's are not baggage they just add a little more to your life history. i wouldn't be to worried about it if he's still hanging around. It was just a reality check to see her standing in front of him. It made him see you as more then the girl he's with he saw you as a mom..

He may have just been a little caught off guard. Give it some time and if the relationship changes then move on. Good Luck!

He probally just wasn't as prepared as he thought he was. It threw him into shock. He has seen you as a girlfriend but not as a mommy, so it had to sink in. But if he is a good guy and he cares for you he'll warm up.

You made me lmao!
As to a meaning? Did you tell him you had a child? Maybe he was just surprised.
I would take it he was surprised, or shocked. You say he isn't running away ... yet. Perhaps the "yet" has yet to happen.

Give it time. Most men have committment phobia. He may decide either way about this relationship but it sure is good you did this early in the relationship.

I might be freaked out too. ... even if you mentioned it, the reality in seeing the child is a bit much.
Give him some time.
