i have blue eyes as well, and even though i recently made my hair silver, it kind of washes me out unless im wearing make up. And most people say how much my eyes pop when my hair is black/brown. The question is do you want to make your hair work for you face via dark hair/light eyes, or the other way around and lighten your hair. Also remember going from a dark color to a light shade is insanely damaging, keep this in mind especially if you have long hair. Mines short so i cut it if it looks jacked.

Also here is a tip: if your the type that likes to go back and forth between the extremes i.e from blonde to brown/balck. try using semi-permanant colors on your blonde hair to get it dark, its a lot easier to lift it when you want to go back blonde. a lot less damage

I think all women are beautiful. Personally I'm a redhead but that doesn't mean much. The Blonde vs Brunettes query has been around for a long time. It doesn't matter which is 'prettier' really. If you have the skin of a brunette and you go blonde, it won't be pretty at all. Same if you have the skin of a blonde and go brunette. Go to a professional.

Clearly your hair has red tones. You have to use ash blonde tones or it will keep fading back to red...go to a place like Sally Beauty or any of the many mega salons in all the strip malls and ask what they have. Toners are everywhere....plus several other products are made that can be put into your color to remove the red..

BTW: I have colored my hair since I was 15; my stylist always asks me what I eat to make it so thick. If your hair is falling out it has nothing to do with color and everything to do with the state of your health--probably thyroid.

Please note: 40 is so far in my past it has moved into a different galaxy; as a matter of fact I sincerely doubt I will be alive at double my current age...

I personally would love to have dark hair and blue eyes, but it depends on your skin tone. If you decide to go back to blonde, I would have to say to get it done professionally. I have damaged my hair too many times trying to be blonde!

Dye it as close to your original color as you can get and let it grow back in. That way you won't have roots.
