In theory, as human beings, our deepest, primal desire, is to have young and keep the human race going, however, over time people have begun to resist that urge and in some peoples minds it has been forgotten...
For many species continuation and expansion of the gene pool is the most important thing, as if this didn't happen the species would soon die out. There is no real risk of this happening to the human race, but it still is important for many people...
To sum up, the deepest longing for most of mankind is the urge to settle down and have a family....

If I recall correctly, the deepest mine on earth is a gold mine in South Africa. Therefore our deepest longing appears to be for material wealth. ;)

That a cure was found against my boyfriends disease, don;t know what it's called in English, but he's slowly and painfully dieing by suffocating in his own slime that is filling up longs, stomach etc...
That would be my deepest wish!!!

Personally speaking it varies. Sometimes women, sometimes beer, sometimes chocolate, sometimes all three.
At other times, equality, world peace, brotherly and sisterly love and a fairer more just world where people can live happy lives not dependant upon their race, gender, sexuality, nationality or social class.
