Free choice is part of God's plan. If you read the bible you will see that there was a war in heaven. You got to choose sides then and you still get to choose now. The one thing that you do not have control over is the result of your choice. If you choose to be a bad person there will be eternal results.

Whether you are a believer in God or not, the fact remains that we all know the difference between right and wrong, and yes we all have free choice, or free will.

No matter what ANYBODY else says, you are the only one which can choose the actions you perform, be it rght or wrong. It is a scientific impossability to have someone else act or even think for you.

Too many people blame this person, this situation, or whatever for their actions. If God will not, and more importantly CAN NOT make you do what you choose not to do, then how can ANYONE else but you do anything which you honestly do not want to.

Brainwashing for example, there is no such thing, if you deep down inside, did not already desire to do the action, then no action would be performed by you. It's just that simple.

Someone above posted quotes from the Bible stating God made this person do a certain thing, but in Fact, if the person was not already inclined to do so through their own desire, they would not have. Case in point, Jesus was struggling in the Garden before his arrest as if he should or should not do what he came down here to do. The choice was his and his alone.

Thugh this is my opinion only, as yours may differ.

Yes God gave us free will to make our own choices. We are able to pick between good and evil wrong and right. God did not want a bunch of machines running around so he made us all different.

I think that Forest Gump said it best; that life is a combination of fate and chance. God created us and predestined each one of us for Heaven, but since God has given each one of us a free will. It is up to us to receive God's Love, Forgiveness, and Eternal Life
by accepting His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, as our Lord and Savior. When we do, God gives us the gift of the Holy Ghost. That is why we are called "Born Again." The Devil no longer lives inside us, but he still can talk to us. Then it is up to us to listen and obey God. If we don't. we are rejecting God, Himself, and then we are listening to the Devil or one of his demons.

Dear butterflyfrills,

The only people that HAD free choice wa Adam and Eve, our first parents and the first man and woman. The Lord made them on day 6 of creation and put them in a perfect place called the Garden of Eden (there was no sin there). At the beginning, when God made them there was no sickness, no insect pests, no threat of war, and no death. The Lord (Jesus) told them to keep the garden and said that they could eat the fruit of all the trees except one (1)--the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. Satan, coming as a serpent, tempted them to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowlege of Good and Evil and they fell to his tempatation. This is when sin entered into the world and man died that day! Both Adam and Eve died spiritually and that separated them from God for ever. Now they had free will prior to rebelling against God but after they sinned, they now had become servants of satan and sin.
Today, every child that is born is a servant of satan and sin. Mankind is separated from God. One may choose what he wants to wear, or what one wants to eat, but you cannot choose to serve God! Our nature is in complete rebellion to God. But the Lord in His great mercy has determined to save some of these rebels and make them His children. In order to do this, God had to choose those He was going to save, pay for all their sins, and then give them a new resurrected soul in which they hunger and thirst to know God and be obedient to His commandments (this is called the new birth). God gives all this information in the Bible, which we refer to as His word. Whe you open the Bible and read, it is like sitting at the feet of Jesus. You can read more about this at the website I give below.

The devil will come inside if you allow it. Its better to be born again where you always have part of the Lord inside all the time to help you out. Yes we get to choose. Most ppl arent totally posessed like Charles Manson Most are just tempted but they need to repent of their sins and worship the Trinity to be saved..
when angels had freewill Lucipher sinned and was thrown down and now he is Satan trying to kill everyone in wars...

God had to have made us with free choice. When Eve took the bite from the apple, she was not being force fed it. She willing took a bite. If God did not allow for free will, then we would all mearly be puppets and our "love" for Him would not be honset love. It would only be a form of self-love, and can you blame God if He didn't want to be alone forever?

Yes. We do have free choice in life but God wants us to choose to live wisely.

It's not a question about god, it's a question about the church. The Church doesn't give anybody free choice about anything. So, God believers that go to church every Sunday, welcome to the real world , you don't know the meaning of free choice. And, probably, you haven't chosen to be a christian by free choice either, maybe your family is all christian and you were raised like that, maybe you just go with the flow. Re-think Christianity and its lack of reason and you will be able to see how screwed your free choice is!
