It depends how huge of an age difference you are talking about. Interests may be way apart and more importantly belief systems and this can cause a lot of quarreling and fighting and that wont be healthy for a relationship. Hopefully it doesn't get into the father/child category because you will never be happy like that.

There are seven years between myself & my husband. My husband being the oldest. We have been married for 5 years in Dec. & together for 6 years. We are still very happily married with 2 children! It matters if you love the person your with. It only matters if your under 20 after that noboby really pays attetion.Even maybe under 19 depending the age difference. I was 18 when I met my hubby.
Good luck!!

How huge is huge? My uncle is married to someone 15 years his junior and they are very happy. I have some other friends that have an 11 year age difference and they have been married over 40 years. Compatability - especially in the areas of values and life goals - are the real key factors.

your question uses the word "chance"
that implies probabilities
there have been many very successful marriages between people of very different ages
the probability of success with such a marriage is less than for a marriage with ages that are similar
this is true for other things besides age, such as education, race, religion, income
the probability is better if couples have more of these things in common
but probabilities only apply to the whole group, not to any particular couple
I wouldn't worry so much about the probability or chance of success for couples in general, I would focus on the two people involved
if they are right for each other, then they are right for each other

As with all marriages it depends on the people. My cousin married a man who was 52 when she was 26 they were happily married for over 32 years when he passed away last spring. That's the downfall is it's likely one will far outlive the other, but then there are no guarantees in life anyway

Age difference really doesn't matter, but long term in the sense of a 25 year or 50 year wedding anniversary most likely won't happen. That is always something to think about. Prayers =)

Since you are not mention over here that your "huge" is how much, I will presume that it is from 20 years old +++ difference. On this regards...I would say "no"....because of the generation gap. Unless one of you have lots of money to investing in the " permanently nurse" for your convenience and pleasure.

There is a very good chance it would work. My husband and I were 14yrs. apart and we were married 26 yrs. But like one of your answers said, one of them could die way before the other one, which is what happened in my case, unfortunetly, because I miss him dearly.
