There is no direct connection in between your thighs and abs muscles, so your thighs are not going to get bigger for doing sit-ups. It's possible that you can feel some pressure or tightness by your hips area if you are doing the exercise the wrong way or on bare floor. Doing the exercise the right way the only muscles feeling the effects are your abs and nothing else.

What would sit ups have to do with thighs? They are two totally different muscle groups. If you wanna prevent your thighs from getting bigger, do a lot of running and diet. It's pretty simple.
