Our people believe that dreaming of death actually means birth. It could be because you're worried about having a baby. If you stop worring about it... it will come. Try reading or exercising before bed.

first, grab a peice of paper and write down everything you can remember about the dream and how you felt. pour it all out. once it's trapped on paper, it will stop haunting your mind so much. then you can either put the paper away, knowing it's there so you don't have to think about it anymore, or burn it, 'cleansing' yourself from the dream. I know it sounds neo-pegan, but the idea has roots in psychology. symbolic acts mean a great deal to the human psyche, and can give you a sense of control over what was once uncontrolable (the dream and your fear).
if you're the religious sort, pray for peace or talk to your cleargyperson.
another good idea would be to share your unease with your wife's doctor. he/she can reassure you, and you will know that you've notified the person most able to help if something really DOES go wrong.

A dream is the experience of seeing images, hearing voices, or other sensations during sleep. Dreams often portray events which are impossible or unlikely in physical reality, and are usually outside the control of the dreamer.
Many people report experiencing strong emotions while dreaming, and frightening or upsetting dreams are referred to as nightmares.
You obviously had a nightmare.
Occasional nightmares are commonplace, but recurrent nightmares can interfere with sleep and may cause people to seek medical help.
I hope that bad feeling will, it was just dream not reality.

Just stop talking about it and for goodness sake don't tell your wife! Then she will just worry that you are psychic or something. Which by the way, you are not.
Asking this question here is only making it worse because it's making you think about it more.
For nightmares do this:
Before you go to bed tell yourself that if you are having a dream that you don't like to just think about flowers. Then if you do have a bad dream you will remember telling yourself that and you can do it. My mom taught me that when I was very young and to this day if I have a dream that starts going bad I change it to flowers. My flowers happen to be the field of poppies from the Wizard of Oz because I was little and that was just what came to mind. What will your flowers be?

exercise, go out with your wife. It seems you are subconsciously worried about bringing a child into the world, that is okay.
Realize it was a dream, you wife is fine. She is healthy, beautiful & soon will be carrying your lovely child. Everything will be okay.
I say go for a jog, or lift weights. Then take a long relaxing bath (maybe even with your wife) and set your mind for the present. Hold her, love her, all is well.
Congrats on trying to conceive!

Well, it means you have doubts about the life you're getting into. You are concerned that the life you had with your wife, going out, things like that, are going to stop the moment the child arrives. Death is but a symbol. But don't worry. It's really cool to be a dad and husband at the same time.

When we dream of death, our emotions run high. Feelings of terror, anxiety or even liberation can dominate our mood upon waking. As with any other type of dream, there is no one answer for what the dream means. Generally speaking, however, dreams about death signify much needed change in our lives. Such dreams typically herald symbolic rather than literal death. In this way, death dreams let us know that some part of the self needs to be radically reworked, whether it be one's attitudes, emotions, or relationships.
Though these dreams may be frightening and may linger in our minds for days, they do come to us in service, challenging us to grow and evolve. Like all dreams, the best approach to those of death is to work with them creatively, looking within to ascertain what is no longer needed in our lives, and to determine the direction in which we should proceed.

I have had very real dreams about people dying in my family. They are hard to let go of because they seem so real and stay with you through out the day. Chances are, you are just dreaming about it because it is a fear of yours. Tell your wife about your dream, and it will get better for you as the day(s) go on.
