Throughout time women have been seen as the emotional gender. Men are not supposed to be emotional, capable of expressing their emotions. This is not true for many men, especially in this day and age. The role of man was that they were supposed to be tough strong providers, not the type that contimplate where the problems existed in the relationship and why they needed to end. This will cause some men to become very bitter. It is much easier for them to just HATE you, rather than understand and think about your motives. Like I said before, this isn't true for all men. Times have changed and men have opened up. This is a different generation. Men and women are, in some instances even exchanging gender roles. And hopefully, in time, men and women will be capable of communicating on the same level, as well as understanding. (but i wouldn't keep my fingers crossed for the "hard-butt", manly man).. I hope this helps

Most of them are still upset at you from the first time you broke up with them. The others are just jerks. Personally I had a BF who I broke up w/ I asked him if we could just be friends and he said yes, then the next day he was mad at me. He was still hurt from the blow. Now 3yrs later we still don't talk that much but I can still tell he is hurt.

It depends on the situation, but if someone breaks up with me in a very rude or disgraceful manner, why would I want to associate with that person in the future?

it's called jealousy!, all of us have it ( men/women) all of show it, but we don't know what to do with it? i don't think it's fair to say men in a generalized term as we don't all stay hung up on that stuff.....just like if 1 woman cheats are women sluts? no, i don't think so but i have been wrong before..... it was a cold day in mid october, tuesday...3:28 p.m. ......1991..what a tragic day

Men are born conquerors. If you weren't conquered, some men have to hide their confusion or hurt with offensive attitudes. No big deal.

I don't take offence. I'm glad you broke up with me. It was difficult carrying on with your sister while I was out with you in any case.
I don't mind seeing you again. Who told you I was bitter?

men harbour grudges better than any women i know. women can be catty that is true but after a bust up they forget, whereas men tend to remeber things and always bring them up
