As a result of the fact that when you are dead you are dead and you will have no more expereinces, thoughts or feelings ever again, you will not go to heaven whether you die in a car accident or commit suicide. The only difference is if you commit suicide, you are very aware of the fact that you are about to die, for a longer period of time.

Most religions say that if you commit suicide, you will not go to heaven, unless, conveniently you happen to be dying for the cause of your religion (a martyr) which is technically a form of suicide. This is to prevent true believers from offing themselves willy nilly. If the believers die and don't have children, poof! No more religion.

Interesting trivia: According to Dante's 'Inferno' (part of his 'Divine comedy' the punishment in hell for commitiing suicide is for your soul to be formed into a tree. Amongst this forest of suicide victims, harpies (birds with women's heads) roost. These harpies feed on the trees which wail and bleed for the rest of eternity. Sounds like fun, huh?!

Don't be silly. First heaven is waiting for those whose name is written in the book of life. Do you know for a fact that your name is. Second we all have a reason for living that we may never know and then a time to die. Suppose your reason for living were to be fulfilled in three days; you would cheat yourself of fulfilling the whole reason for your being here. God does not want anyone to miss heaven but many will because they do not understand what God wants. Read the bible particularly the book of Romans and find your way to get closer to the truth

Mate you're dellusional. Heaven depends on how you define it. For all you know there could be nothing after you do, nobody knows for sure. So the point here is to live life as best you can in this world, the world you're living in now. Try to make the best of your life and those around you so that when you are close to death you'll die happy knowing you didn't waste your life.

This my feelings on suicide. When a person gets to the point where he or she is so distraught and commits suicide, these persons are not in their right minds. I feel they will get to heaven, but must stay in purgatory until God let's them into heaven. I do not feel a person will go straight to hell. Now you on the other hand, just because you want to go to heaven? Committ suicide? Straight to hell.

i think someone needs to seek out help from either professionals in this field or from the clergy of their faith or a very good friend. heaven is only for those that have had a personal experience with JESUS CHRIST called SALVATION. IF you are not saved then heaven will not be for you. you will get many answers some good and some bad. but i hope you will find your answer.

There is no evidence of any kind of consciousness existence after our bodies die. If someone were to commit suicide, they would be throwing away their only chance at making a heaven for themselves while they are still alive.

If you had ever read the Bible you would know that you do not go to heaven if you commit suicide. When you die is not your decision to make. When God wants you, he'll take you.

No you will not go to heaven to rule with Christ Only a small number is going to heaven Revelation 20:6 The will be kings and priests and rule with christ over the earth.
The vast majority is going to be on a paradise earth.
The meek will inherit the earth Held out to those who view life as sacred. Not someone who takes his own life. Life is precious.
Don't throw it away thinking you have 70 virgins in heaven.
Heaven is for spirit creatures and they were condemed for wanting to have sex with women. Jude 6
The only thing they got was dead.
For dust you are and to dust you will return.

Nobody on earth has the right to make that determination. Most people who suicide are not thinking correctly and are completely mentally impaired by their own depression. I believe God is a loving and forgiving God and knows us better than we can ever know our selves. We do not decide, based on our mere human understanding who goes to heaven or hell, it is the decison of God alone, even for suicides.
