Everyone is put together, although the USMC seperates men and women so they don't distract each other.

The reason they don't seperate by MOS is because they want to create a general personality called "soldier" before they send the "soldier" to be uniquely trained in their MOS.

This is because in the end, every soldier may have to carry a rifle and shoot someone, regardless of their MOS, and the service wants them to know how to do it above all.

It all depend on what you do and who you are like MP go basic and AIT altogether so the day the start basic with those people are the people they see for 4 month for basic and ait then you have some different MOS that have everyone in one basic and then split it up after for Ait it is best to talk to a recruiter about what mos and how it is done for that mos well that is for the army oh guy and girl have separate bays

In the Army you will go to a different location for your Basic Training depending on your MOS.

All branches separate you only by male and female. Other than that all mos are together. for basic training that is. once you graduate that, you will be separated by mo for the specific job you are doing and sent to another base for continued training.

for instance....for the air force, you do 6-8 weeks at Lackland for basic training. then you are sent to another base for yout tech school training. Mine was at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo,TX for intel. it all depends on your job on where you go after that.

Put together.

After Basic, when you go to your AIT (Advanced Individual Training) then you are among your MOS buddies.
