I have a buff color Cockapoo, and it seems like she is always dirty looking even after a bath. What is the best shampoo to use?

I use Hertz 2 in 1 shampoo. I find that it works very well and deoderizes. Long haired dogs coat needs to be rinsed very well. It could take several rinsing. Aslo try blow drying her coat on low and it will give it more sheen. I also put 2 tablespoons of any kind of bacon or sausage fat in my dogs food once a week and that helps keep their coat nice and shiny.

I don't think you are asking the right question - If your dogs coat is not shiny and silky and showing beautiful highlights, your dog might need to be fed a better diet. I would suggest a vet check up and a change of dog food to any of the human grade dog foods that use human grade quality protein sources and pesticide free and chemical fertilizer free grains and vegetables - organically grown grains and vegetables like Dick Van Pattens wet and dry dog food or Paul Newmans Own dog food.

If you are bathing your dog more then once every 6 weeks, you should be using a dog puppy shampoo or a dog oatmeal (gentle) shampoo. Dogs skin has a different PH Value then people do thst is why you should never use a humans shampoo to bathe a dog.

You can check with your vet to see what supplements if any, he feels would be beneficial for your dogs coat and over all health.

I agree with Angela T. You could also use a conditioner on your dog. You can use human conditoner, it'll help to the coat more shiny.
