I guess the saying "expect the worst and hope for the best so you won't be disappointed" may have some truth in it. However, if you never expect anything from anyone or anything, then you will never know what it is like to wish or hope for something as you will have fear of disappointment. Everybody goes through disappointment and that is a normal part of life and that makes you the person you are.

You are right. But I think it is easier said than done to have no expectations. I could say out loud that I am prepared for the worst case scenario but inside my mind I would still be hoping for a good outcome . . . hence the disappointment. If anyone out there can truly have no expectations then I envy them : )

Expect the worst and if anything better happnes you'll be pleasantly surprised. I expect the world will end tomorrow at 7:30 am - I'll stay in bed a little later until it's all over. If anyone says, this won't hurt a bit. It will....

True but how is that to live ?? People will usually give you only what they want to if you expect nothing from them. Disappointments are a part of life.

Wrong. Because you never have expectations than your life is going no where. You need to set goals for yourself. You may never obtain those goals because a turn in your life will cause you to develope new ones. Without expectations life would be boring.

I think it's good to have expectations, because it sets a standard. And standards can be related to how you strive to achieve your goals.
People who think more positively about life, even if things don't always go according to plan, are often able to handle disappointment much better than most.

in theory, we are told to manage our finances by the principle of not spending money which is not ours (i.e on credit) but how many people, in truth, can quite happily go from day to day, dreaming about a car, a phone, a nice plasma tv or a pair of trendy new jeans, and never wish to actually LIVE life (by using the credit facility and then repaying it in an affordable way). yea, so, the interest on it will be added to what you owe but, how does that compare to satisfying a desire to own something which makes your life just a little more pleasant and liveable?
so, in short, to answer your question...
"if you have no desire to spend money on credit, then you'll never have debts and you'll be happy...am i right or wrong"?

A good friend always said to me "expectations cause distress" it was his catch phrase. And it's right no matter what nothing is exactly as you expect but it is unhuman not to have expectations, they're just like a desire for things to be.

Funny you should say that, I didn't expect any more details in your question, and yet I'm disappointed now that I'm here.
