I agree with Love Muffin.. it sure sounds like worms..They do that..cause the puppy to gag...He needs to see the vet and be de-wormed.....

call the vet, then run right over there if they're open.
Sometimes, like with people, just drinking water will get down whatever is stuck in their throat but he could have picked up something with a hair on it, so check his mouth and see what you can pull out of there. Hair is definitely a bad thing for a pet to swallow as it causes problems in the intestinal tract and can cut it. Puppies get into lots of things, so figure out what he ate. Did you leave people food out and he ate it? Did he swallow a small ball?

He probably has worms, puppies do this sometimes when they have a worm problem. Bring a stool sample to the vet, don't get the worming meds from Walmart, get the right stuff to treat your dog. Stool sample is about 8.00 dollars. The meds are about 10.00 to 15- it's worth it. Good luck

Take him to the vet! They will probably be able to help more than just letting him sit there and gag.

You should take him to the vet for a check-up. It's too difficult to determine what is wrong with him just by a description on here. I hope he's ok.

I'd seriously have your dog checked by the vet. my dog was coughing and gagging(and like dry heaving) and one of my dogs had kennel cough and the other dog parvo. they are both really serious, if you don't get your dog checked and the dog has one of those, dogs die from that

Hopefully the vomit issue is only from overeating. I suggest you see a vet have his gut checked.
