Millions. There has never been an accurate count. For instance, it is well known in WW 2 that Hitler killed 6 million Jewish people. But you never hear of the 22 Million Russians who lost there lives under the rule of Stalin. To my knowledge, there has never been an accurate count, nor could there be one, because War has been around since the beginning of time. Now from WW-! to the present, they have an estimate, but not an accurate one. It is in the millions just for that time period. The "Civil-War" in this country cost millions of lives on both sides, and there is no-way to accurately say how many. They have a good idea how many military died, but they were not the only ones fighting that war. There were civilian unit's who fought as well. So the best answer to your question is Millions. Not allot of help, but I hope you can understand why there is no real-accurate count. God Bless America! 1st. Sgt., 7th Special Forces, (Ret.) Vietnam, "67"-"70"

Well, some 40 million civilians, 20 million soldiers in Europe alone in WWII. In WWI, maybe half that. I don't know how many died in Asia.
