I would recommend going through her line at the grocery store and at the end just ask her if she wants to go out sometime and have your number ready to go or if she is not busy she can give you hers. I don't think it is intrusive to ask someone out when they are at work, for some people it just might make their day. Just make sure you don't try and ask her when she is really busy. This will improve your chances.

My advice would be to simply ask her if she would be interested in a bite to eat sometime. It doesn't have to be complex, just ask with a sense of friendliness, not necessarily just wanting to try to date this woman. To find out where she goes in her spare time would mean you would have to either ask her or someone close to her, such as a co-worker. That would be portayed as asking too much of a person you don't really know yet. In worst case scenario, if she wanted to tell you to take a hike, she might be inclined to tell you what she thinks you want to hear. Be prepared to be lied to...and not because she is a bad person, but because she could spare feelings.

Depends...how does she react to you? Have you guys made small talk before at her desk? If she seems to react postively to you (smiling, laughing, etc) I would maybe bring up a movie or event around town that's coming up, and if she seems interested, ask her to go. Like other people have said, you can always slip her a note. It could say something like, "Don't want to bother you while you're hard at work, but give me a call sometime if you'd like," and put your number on it.

It is a little intrusive. But what you could do is pass her a slip of paper (but too obviously) with your number and saying that you are interested in getting to know her. Try not to slip to her during rush hour or any other overly busy time.

My suggestion is to write it on a "sticky / post it" and attach it to the dollars you pay her with. On the note, put something like
I'd love to take you out to dinner sometime. Bob #555-5555
Simple and effective plus if you come out and say it to her, you might embarrass her or you could send her a rose with the same note attached.

Just slip a note, asking her to write her number for you.

go through her line & slip her a note with your payment that says you'd like to take her out sometime. or you could ask another co worker to help you out.
