My niece received a seat belt ticket many months ago in Circleville, Ohio and never paid it. Does anyone know if this county issues warrants in this situation?

yes, an unpaid traffic ticket in ohio will result in the indefinite suspension of your liscence until the fine is paid. unpaid tickets result in warrant blocks on your liscence which mean if you get pulled over, you are considered DUS- Driving Under Suspension

i believe they can issue warrants for not paying a seat belt ticket the best way to find out is call the county jail for your niece and find out if the have a warrant out for her....you will need her name and date of birth...i check for my friends all the time in Texas....another way to find out if she has a warrant is to get the website for the county warrants and look it up they update their page every 24 hours.... good luck

It seems those warrants are meant to have just a deterrent effect, strange it is though!
