My daughter hasn't been on formula long, but I have found that Tide and a capful of clorox bleach for colors works great on my daghters clothes. If it's baby's clothes and baby is newborn, hold off on the bleach until older. My daughter is 7 1/2 months and she has had no reactions to any detergent/bleach and I've been using it on her clothes for 2 months. The Tide-To-Go Pens work wonders, too, for on the spot treatments. I keep one in her diaper bag just for this purpose.

Dreft makes spot remover that works wonders. Spray it on right before you throw the clothes in the hamper so its soaking until you wash them.
