I read somewhere that christians aren't supposed to have cats as pets b/c they are "evil". Please tell me you people are not that stupid.

I am a Christian and not only am I not afraid of the creatures, I have owned several snakes, currently own 3 cats, have owned ferrets, tarantulas, fish, birds. All of Gods creatures are beautiful and fill some purpose. If people would take the time to learn more about some of the stranger creatures, they would fear them less.

That would be false. Christians do not believe that cats or snakes are evil. It would not be against the christian faith to own one of these animals as a pet.

I think that cats and snakes are afraid of some christians because they have evil thoughts about them.

It is very rude to refer to people who believe a certain way as "you people." However I will answer your question. I do not know where you are getting your information, but Christians can and do have cats as pets and we are no more scared of snakes than anyone else is.

I'm a christian and I have never heard of that. I and many of my friends have or have had cats. As for being afraid of snakes we are not any more afraid of them then the average person.

I'm a Christian and have 4 cats. One of them is black. No we are not afraid of them. Cats nor snakes bother me. I have held snakes before. I have even caught snakes before.
We christians are not stupid. We are saved and on our way to heaven.

I've never heard that. I'm a Christian and know many other people who are who have cats. And what do snakes have to do with this question?

I am Christian and snakes and cats do not bother me.
What I think some people's deal are with snakes is that satan diguised himself as a snake to luer Adam & Eve. So therefore, some people think all snakes are evil.
As I say, its not their fault thats what the dark one decided to diguise himself as.
I know some people just think they are scary, slimey(they are so not) and that..
Cats, I hear about black cats. Has something to do with black cats and witches, or maybe that witches diguise themselves as black cats.
I have had black cats, and nothing wrong there.
I think some people just go a bit far when it comes to things like that.

Some snakes are poisonous. I don't play with snakes very much. I have had a cat with no problems before. Just some scratches on me that healed up.
