Should couples be allowed to have as many children as they want?

For example there are couples with 10, 15 or more children, should there be a limit on how many children they should have, or should people just ignore it, and not give their opinions.

That is the point to living in America. You have FREEDOM to do what you want in the limits of the law. We aren't china....If a couple wants to have 15 kids and they can take care of them, why not? For some people it is in their religious beliefs, are you gonna take those away too? NO there shouldn't be a limit to how many children a couple should be able to have. If you think there should be then you don't believe in freedom and should live in another country...

In this country there are no limits on how many children a couple has. Some religions do not allow birth control. And some just like children. Somethings are just best left alone. .....

If the couple can FINANCIALLY afford it, they should be able to do what they want. Unfortunately, a lot of people cannot afford it, but do not practice birth control and continue to popluate and expect the government to pay for it. However, if they have any semblance of intellect or self-control however, they would realize that this world is already over-populated and things aren't exact "as green as they used to be" with the earth, per se. It is selfish to view the world as "yours" rather than "ours". It seems though, that the lazy and uneducated seem to keep multiplying and there are not enough intelligent people reproducing. Just my opinion.

I think it boils down to; are they taking care of business?

If they have a bunch of kids living off the state welfare system, if they have a bunch of kids and they are all unruley and maladjusted, they are not taking care of business.

Unfortunately if this is the case, these parents aren't apt to listen to your opinion anyway. But I feel justified in saying it. When they tell me it's none of my business I say "oh but it is, I pay taxes to support you and your children". I had the same conversation to a woman who was drinking and smoking while pregnant. She told me to mind my own business I told her "my health care rates go up because of people like you who don't take care of their children and they have health problems all the time, I think that is my business"

If they are taking care of business, you really have no complaint. They are populating the earth with good citizens, something I'd like to see more of.

I think they should have as many as they want if they can take care of them without services throught the government such as food stamps and a check. There are time these are very helpful to a family. But, some people really take advantage and that really bugs me.

As long as the can provide for them financially and emotionally then nobody has the right to say a thing. But if society has to help pay to take care of them, then NO they shouldn't have more than they can care for.

Yes, couples can have as many as they want, AS LONG AS they are financially stable to take care of all of them! But after having so many of your own, i recommend adoption. I know a lady who has 5 of her own and 5 adopted. she foster homes them and falls in love and ends up adopting them. but they have the funds for it.

No....people should have to have a license and medical certification as good breeding stock to have children.
