i have been 130 for about 2 weeks now, and i'm getting very flustered, are there any tricks to get my weight loss back on track. i lost 30 lbs and it seemed to just melt off, and now i'm stuck. i exercise 6 days a week and eat right, i never cheated and i drink water all day. i work out for at least an hour.

CONGRATS ON SUCH A GREAT JOB!!!! Change your exercise routine, if you're not doing it yet add strength training. It's easy for your body to get "bored" and used to what your doing, adding new exercises or intensifying your work outs may help. Take a look at what you're eating, limiting your intake of carbonated drinks and drinks with a ton of sugar will help too. Another thing, eat 5-6 small meals a day. Take a look at what exactly it is your're eating, you may not be getting enough protien or nutrients your body needs to fuel it during and after your work outs. If that's the case you're unintentionally starving your body. Make sure you're getting plenty of sleep and give your body the rest it needs between workouts to recoup. We all hit that plateau but you've done a fab job on your weight loss. CONGRATS AGAIN!!!!

All the suggestions on altering your workouts are exactly what I've done to keep losing. I'm 5 pounds from my goal, the last 10 have taken 3 months. Also, are you eating enough? If the body doesn't get enough calories it will go into starvation mode and hold onto everything it can. I will eat 1200 calories one day then 1500 the next then 1900 then 1200 again. I mix it up with several small meals/healthy snacks and stay away from high fat foods. One other workout related thing that helps me are sprints - I'll run on the treadmill at a speed and incline that I can barely maintain for 30 seconds. Then I rest for 30 seconds then I sprint again. I do this on-off routine 10 to 20 times then I do a jog for 15 or 20 minutes so I get enough minute of elevated heart rate. The sprints really kick it up, let me tell you. As a guide, I've been running hard for 2 years and I do my sprints at an incline of 12% and a speed of 9 miles per hour. Good luck to you.

Change things up a bit. Try the following : do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Yep, been there done that. Your body is used to its new weight, which is probably a good weight for you, but in order to lose the last 10, you will need to kick up your routine. Your body needs less food now that it weighs less. So decrease your calories a little bit and increase your physical activity. Try adding a mini-workout in the morning or add an extra 15 or 20 minutes to your workout. If you're not already, start lifting weights. The last 10 are the hardest because you have to work the hardest!

At 130 pounds you are probably a very healthy weight (unless you are very short or tall). Just keep eating right and exercising. Don't worry about that number on the scale. Worry more about how you look in the mirror and your body fat percentage. Body fat % is probably the best marker for how you are doing.

i read somewhere that if you "over-do" your dieting and excerise your body may react just the opposite way. Try includind some healthy sweets into your diet, like grapes or watermelon for a few days. Then even skip a day of excercising and maybe even try every other day for a week or so. Then kick it back into gear and your body will appreciate the KICK...switch it up a bit thats all..looks like you just got used to doing the same thing and your body stopped reacting.

Change up on your workout. Once your body gets used to the same exercises, you burn less calories. It doesn't have to be a drastic change. Stop a few of the exercises your doing and replace with another form.

Is it possible that you don't need to lose more, or possible that what you perceive as fat to lose is actually muscle? Perhaps you could see a nutritionist and see about having one of those tests done when they measure body fat. Keep up the good work, it will pay off, and think of how healthy you are too!

this site should help you out a lot. Plateau is the key word, this stops you from losing and when you hit this you need to switch up your work out and eating habits. You will began to lose again it could just take some time, hope this helps.
