Rates for auto insurance in the state are based on two factors - 1) your driving record and credit history and 2) on the make, model and year of your car (and how it rates safety wise). You woud do best to call to a few agents (State Farm and Farmers serve the state, as well as others) and ask them for a quote.

In my experience, the thing that mattered most was the year of the car, not if it was a 4X4/AWD. The effect on the premium was less than 3% difference between the two (I think the 4x4 is a little more expensive, but safety wise, I wouldn't trade it for a 2WD model.
