They are highly accurate but also very easy to sway. All of these answers but 2 made me laugh. People are highly uninformed. First of all there are several things which could cause a false positive- the most prominent being poppy seeds. Secondly I know personally several people who have produced a false negative simply by drinking a crapload of water before the test and taking a vitamin b so their urine doesn't look watered down. That is not even getting into all the cover-up products out there.

well it depends on how far back. i smoked abour 2.5 weeks ago but still passed. i am willing to bet that the urine tests are not all the sensitive. i have had friends who have smoked a bowl the night before or smoekd a joint two days before and still passed with flying colors, and neither did any detoxing - they just drank a lot of water and cranberry juice and worked out a lot the night before. i don't personally know anyone who has ever failed, but to those who did, they were probably chronic users.

Well the accuracy depneds on the drug they are testing for, or at least I think thats how it goes. Because if you have eaten poppy seeds you get a drug test and bam.. You are in trouble for opium or whatever because there is a chemical in the seeds that is in the drug too..

They are extremely accurate, as much as 99.9% and there is hardly anyway to beat the test, depending upon the drug.
