I was trying to figure that out because I am cooking something and need to know. I think it is 16 but I am not sure

Something that might help you in the future, with google.com you can just type in a search "pounds to ounces" and it will provide you with the answer. 1 ounces = 0.0625 pounds, or 1 pounds = 16 ounces.

It's been 16 ounces for a thousand years or more... don't think it's changed much this year.
