Jesus is the Son of God. The idea that Jesus and God are one and the same did not even start until around the 4th century.
Colossian 1:15 says "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation."
At John 14:28 Jesus makes it clear that he is not equal to God when he said "The Father is greater than I am."
And at John 20:17 Jesus told Mary, "I am ascending to my Father, and your Fatherm and to my God, and your God."
If Jesus and God were the same person, who was in heaven waiting on Jesus to ascend? Clearly Jesus and God are two separate people.

He is both. The Bible says that there is only one God in all existence at all time, (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8; 45:5, etc.). The Trinity is the teaching that there is only one God who exists as three simultaneous and eternal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. By "person" is meant the characteristics of self awareness, speech, having a will, emotions, etc. Therefore, there are three persons. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father as each of them have a will and speak to each other and to people. They are not three separate gods and are not three separate beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.
Jesus is God in human flesh. He is not half God and half man. He is fully divine and fully man. That is, Jesus has two distinct natures: divine and human. As the SCripture says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...14and the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..." (John 1:1,14). This means that in the divine word became flesh in the single person of Jesus who is, then, both human and divine in nature. The divine nature was not changed. It was not altered in this union. Rather, the divine holy nature of the Word remains as it is.
Furthermore, Jesus is not merely a man who "had God within Him" nor is he a man who "manifested the God principle." He is the second person of the Trinity. "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word," (Heb. 1:3, NIV). Jesus' two natures are not "mixed together," nor are they combined into a new God-man nature. They are separate yet act as a unit in the one person of Jesus.

Jesus is both God and the Son of God. He and the Father are one. The term son of God is also for all of us here on earth to have a pattern as to how a son of God should act and praise God above. We who believe and try to follow the steps of Jesus while He was still on earth are also considered sons of God...

Colossians a million:13-sixteen He (Jehovah) further us from the authority of the Darkness (devil) and Transferred us into the dominion of the Son (Jesus) of his love, by making use of skill of whom we've our launch by making use of ransom, the forgiveness of sins. He(Jesus) is a lifeless ringer for the invisible God, the 1st born of all creation; because of the fact by making use of skill of him all different issues have been created in the heavens and upon the earth, the flaws seen and the flaws invisible, Now be conscious he does not say that Jesus is the invisible God yet that he's a lifeless ringer for God. Their isn't one time in all of the Gospels that Jesus ever took the honour for the works he achieved. He constantly gave the honour to his Father in heaven. And so some distance as people who opt to coach the Trinity, If God Jehovah and Jesus have been an identical might it no longer make experience to confer with each entity as according to possibility brother so as that they have got been equivalent and not making one lesser than the different. In all money owed Jesus constantly refers to Jehovah as Father putting himself able of subjection. And whilst devil tried to tempt Jesus, If Jesus is God and God can do no incorrect how became into it a temptation? It must be the way the scripture i quoted has it and that Jesus is The the son, the only Begotten son of God. whilst Jesus talks approximately I and the daddy are one does no longer mean they are an identical. In Genesis whilst it talks some guy and female marrying it says that the two grow to be one flesh. Does that propose they are literally one individual now? No! It basically skill that they are one in theory and action now. So it is an identical experience with God and Jesus

He is both. In our human, finite minds, we cannot perceive this. To us, things can't be two things at the same time. But, He is much higher than us in every capacity. And, if He can create the complex world that we live in, and the complex human bodies that we exist in, then surely he can be multiple beings at the same time.
We believe this not because we finally "get it" and can understand how to be multiple beings at the same time, but we believe it by faith. Faith in God and His infallible Word.
Jesus is the God:
John 1: 1, 14
1 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus)
{One of Jesus' many names is "The Word"): Revelation 19:13: He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.},
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 10:31
I and my Father are one.
John 17:5
And now, O Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory I had with you before the world was.
Rev. 22: 13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
And Jesus is also the Son of God/man:
Matthew 3:17
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Romans 15:6
that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
1 John 1:3
that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

God the Father has a body of flesh and bone. We are all his children born in the spirit. Jesus Christ is our eldest brother in the spirit and God's only begotten son in the flesh. Christ was chosen by all of us except those who followed Satin, to come to earth as the lamb to be our Savior. He now sits on the right hand of God the Father. Second personage in the God head. One in purpose with God the Father. He bought us with the shedding of His blood and is God the Son. The Holy Ghost is the third personage of the God head. Also one in purpose with God but has forgone the blessing of a body, for now, To serve in this capacity. If we live worthy, we can become one with Christ, who is one with God.
