I had to go through this. I had to learn to let go. Hope the best and move on.(This can be hard and very emotional) Now after almost 16 years my dad is involved in my life. We have a good relationship. I still stayed in contact over the years like letting him now where I was and about his grandkids. But it was his choice to be involved. I nor you can make anyone do anything they do or don't want to do. Sometimes patience and alot of it can work.

Looking at your previous questions it appears that you are saying no one wants anything to do with you. I know that can't be right because you are not complaining of going hungry, not having a place to live, and having to be naked because of no clothes.

Be happy with what you have, a lot of people are not as lucky as you. And then if you smile and show your happy, perhaps these same people that you are saying don't want to be around you will suddenly want to. People like being around happy out going people, and shy away from people who complain a lot and are sad. Good luck and wish you the best.

I have that same problem. What I did was tried to find somthing that we have in common the do things based on that. Me and my dad both happen to like The Beatles, so we went to a Beatles inpersonators concert. Or just sit down and talk tell him what you did over the day. ask questions.

Hope that helped

Hey no problem. I havent spoke to or seen my Dad in 26 years. I have written many letters to him in these years with no address to send them. I know I got great amount of healling through them so it wasnt a waste of time.
I now believe nothing happens in this world by mistake. There really is good reason why this is happening.
I read alot too. I read Psalms 139 and that really made me understand better really who is my real Father. Thanks for a good question.

if he doesn't want anything to do with you then thats that. None of us here can make him change his mind. He will need to do that by himself if he wants to. Relax.

I don't have a relationship with my dad.....but that don't stop me from enjoying life.

You need to talk to him If he refuses to, just drop the issue and wait for him to turn around. If, after a couple of months you haven't heard from him - try again.

But, don't fight and argue - it only makes matters worse.
