I trained a girl in Iraq who got recalled but she never finished her initial contract anyway. She got pregnant right after AIT and got out. They gave her a call about a year later and sent her to a NG unit and off to Iraq. Don't worry too much. The Army has admitted they don't even know where over 60% of their IRR people are anyway. I also heard that if they do any recalls they try to find the people who haven't been to Iraq yet in a rare display of fairness, if it is true. If you don't have a job that has been classified as a shortage MOS then you should be fine. I am still in contact with a ton of guys from my former unit and not one of them has got the "letter or call".

The last I met was about 3 years ago and he was a mechanic in the Army. I think Marines are being called back.
