No, no, no. Even 16's too young. He's either gonna kill himself or someone else. I guess you can just be glad it's not your kid!

NO!!!!!!!!! If you ,as his parent, don't feel he is responsible enough to have a drivers license, then why should we, an unsuspecting public ,be put at risk.Driving is a privilege, not a right.Does your son have any money to contribute to his insurance.A car is a deadly weapon in the wrong hands. When a car is out of control and is in a collision it doesn't discriminate towards its'victims.Tell your son he must wait a year and show he is resonsible enough to drive. He must keep good grades, get a part time job to pay for insurance and show he has an appreciation of the privilege of driving.Check with your insurance company on the impact on your insurance if he is added to your policy. After you have all the facts sit down with your son and have a "man to man". Good luck!

no kid should be driving, not at 15 or 16. they should pass the law that when a kid turns 18 they can drive. no matter what state you live in. kids cause to many accident's they end up dead or the other folk's in the other car does. have you ever seen an accident a kid caused? it's terrible.

Legal age for driving is 16. Some states allow you to get your learners permit at a younger age, but you must be 16 before you can have your full license, and even then in alot of states there's significant restrictions. If he isn't responsible enough to drive, he does not need to be driving, end of discussion. Put your foot down. Also, if your child is in public school, they have to maintain a certain grade average in alot of states to be allowed to keep their license. Is he good in school?
From the sounds of it, you're taking the correct stance.
I got my learners permit at 15, full license at 16 and graduated at 16. I had to prove to my parents that I deserved a car and the privileges that went with it.

I have a 17 yr old who dropped out of school was told to get a job couldn't hold one sat around all summer, is now back in school but doesn't think she will be able to graduate and just got a p/t job in which that lasted 2 days. Now she wants me to let her drive my car but she doesn't think it is fair for her to have to pay her insurance( which will jump my insurance $100.00 bucks a month) or have to pay for gas.
Three days ago she went to go live with her dad because he told her she didn't have to do anything no school no job hang out with boys drive his truck without having to pay for anything if she watches his new baby while his girlfriend gets high and drunk.
I sympathize I understand Hang in there.

He should start learning to drive now.
He should not have a vehicle until he has a license, for obvious reasons.
All wheel drive is great in the snow if you can afford to get a vehicle with all wheel drive.

no. no kid that young meeds a vehicle. My brother just turned 16 and the only way he is allowed to get a vehicle is if he saves his money and buys it himself. Your friend should do the same with her son. Make him save and pay for it. He should also have to pay for his own insurance. That is the only way they will learn.

i had a car science i was 14 about to turn 19 now and i have to admit i did some pretty dumb things. when we are in that age we don't really have common science even dough i was responsible and i earned the car for being good and i had to pay for my gas. it is just not the time even if we are responsible and also by the way kids tend to like speed a lot and i was one of them not knowing the outcomes of it. also at that age we are not even able to control a car correctly.

Well if its not legal to be driving then the answer is no. I also think kids should earn the right to drive, good grades and good behavior. And I also think they should work for it, too. Does he have a job to pay for the gas?? Simple answer is NO

no he doesn't deserve it. tell him to wait till he's 18 or something so then he'll be more responsible. I'm 17 and have good grades and I drive responsibly and i still don't have a damn car... I gotta really earn it... I have to be better than i am now. My parents are strict.

start giving him responsibility if he doesnt already have some i.e. chores, remembering to do things without being reminded, getting himself up and maintaining his grades etc...if hes not responsible enough to handle these simple tasks then by all means keep him off the road! ...ive got kids out there too and i want them home safe
