Just took a preg test and it turned up Neg. =( I am 13 days late and I just knew it was gonna be positive! What are the chances that the negative was wrong? Can anyone help?

Off-name brand has little bearing on a result. They all have the same antibody and control strips. The Equate off-brand is actually one of the best. Name brands are just more expensive. You're probably stressing yourself out so much about pregnancy that you're making yourself late. I know it may be difficult, but try to relax and let nature take it's course.
Avoid the + or - style tests. Those are notoriously difficult to read. Check www.peeonastick.com for more information.

It could be wrong. if you still feel that you are pregnant contact your doctor and have them do a blood test. Sometimes women don't produce enough of the hormone that is relased during pregnancy to get a postive result on a pee test. My friend had that problem with all of her children.She even took one at the near end just for fun and it still turned up negative. Call your doctor and have them do the test. If you are congrats and good luck and if not I hope the best for you either way.

It is possible but with u being 13 days late - I'm thinking you are late due to stress. However, if u didn't take the test 1st thing in the morning - I suggest u take another one then. All preganacy test can give u false negatives but I have never heard of one giving a false positive.

no the brand will not affect the outcome you need to go to the doctor in take a test because it may not be pregancy but something more serious

It could be wrong, i used the digital one ( the one that comes up with words.) and it took like 3 seconds to say positive. I took it at work, so by the time i got home he didn't get to see it. A store brand shouldn't matter, but try a different brand this time.

It could be wrong. I would give it a couple of days and either take another test or go to your ob and have a blood test done, if your period still does not come.

Chances are very slim if you are 13 days late already. You can take another one, or for sure, you can ask your doctor for a blood test.

OK, preg test are best taken in the morning, in what is called a mid-stream test
Go pee for a sec then place the test in the stream.. that way it is a clean test...

There is a good chance it could be wrong, the only time it isn't wrong is when it is positive, get a different test, and take it first thing. EPT certainty is the best.

Take another one and then compare the results of the two. You can also get a blood test, (more accurate), free from the local health department. They won't tell your parents.
