it sounds like you have an abscess from your infected teeth. The antibiotics will take a few days to kick in and only then will you notice a reduction in swelling in your gums. Any doctor will tell you that you will have to be checked after your root canal and after you finish the antibiotics due to the fact that the swelling could be from the infection (and yes... it could be that bad of an infection that you can be swollen all the way down your neck... nerve endings are all over the place)
Try a warm compress to the hurting areas to help relieve some pain (it may even help the infection (i did this to a puss pocket in my mouth one time and it helped it burst... tasted like azz but the pain was gone)) and talk to your Dentist and Dr. If you have acces to an nurse advise line, i would call them too. if the pain is too bad they may be able to get the dentist to write a Rx to the pharmacy over the phone
I hope you feel better and your pain goes away soon

oh no you're just in a bad situation.. the bad teeth are trying to take over. along with the ear and throat yes your lymph is going to be puffy, sore and even a tint of red on the flesh.
just get those teeth out of your head and i'm sure the ears and throat will clear up and the nodes will thank you for it by not being inflamed anymore.
your body is fighting alot of infection right now... just see a dentist get those teeth out of your head.

lymph nodes r because u have an infection, normally... they r located down the maxilar or ears.. also u can fin them in the arm pit. U feel them like u had rocks inside and they r painfull, but is just are reactions 4 the infection. Are deposits of lymphatic cells that act against the cells ot the infection. Dont worry

Better see a doctor. It sounds as if you have a general ENT infection.

See my answer to your other question.
There may be a logical explanation other than cancer, but don't stop asking until you find out.
