let's face it...Michelle Wie is not about golf ...she's about self promotion. Winning at golf is not just about having the "look" and a great swing. It is much more complicated than that. She does not have it between the ears. Unlike Tiger Woods, who has won at every level of golf, what has Michele wie done...nothing, except fattening her bank account. If that is what she wants, fine but will she ever become the golfer that some people expect her to become...I don't think so.

Well every men's tournament she plays in is by sponsors exemption..so she never earned any of those spots..she has been in contention to win a few tournaments on the LPGA then just chokes when she steps foot on the back 9...as long as people keep paying attention to her..her sponsors will keep giving her the exemptions..even if she misses the cut every damn time..she doesn't care..she is getting her money

Are you blind or just plain stupid. She is 16 years old, can hit a ball 300 yds, is attractive and has more potential than any Female golfer we know of today. Playingh again men is competeting in OPEN tournament open to all qualified golfers. None tour Players can participate in 5 events with a sponsorship exemption. She is good for Golf, she draws fans, attracts interests, improves TV ratings, brings in money and is one hell of a player. She will win plenty on the LPGA before she is 21. The PGA tour has many players who have never beaten the men in a PGA tour event and we let them play.

I think someone is giving her bad advice, she is turning what could have been a great thing into something people will hold against her. You want to play with the men then go to Q school like everyone else and get your card. Once you earn it fine.

The same reason foreign players, or amateurs, or left-handed people are allowed to play, even if they are not undefeated as amateurs, etc. If they are at the standard required (ie they can make the cut at least some of the time) then why shouldn't they be allowed to play?

The sponsors bring her in because she draws an audience I don't agree that it's the best plan for her career but she's drawing the crowd!

She's just another over-hyped Nike marketing tool aimed at women golfers in general and trying to make the game appear 'cool' to younger girls.

She has been close to winning several times, and played in major tournaments at the age of only 16. I think that is an incredible feat in and of itself. Give her time....

Sonny Walkman is right. She is a marketing ploy. She sucks at bunker shots too. I've seen her whiff five of them.
