I'm 36 and most of my friends are married. When I go out to clubs and bars I find it a little difficult to meet women because I'm usually alone.

Do women find it odd or creepy when a guy is by himself?
Any advice?

It's actually not creepy at all if you go about it the right way, and here's why you shouldn't worry about it....

Being alone both builds and displays great character. Women find it attractive, whether they realize it or not, that a guy is comfortable and CONFIDENT enough with himself, to stroll into a club or bar.

Now, here's what you really should NOT do, which is go in and look all needy, trying to talk to every girl at the bar. It's really all a mindset. You choose who you want to talk to, not who might talk to you.

The key again is CONFIDENCE, and if you can build that you'll never have any trouble meeting women whether in a group or all by yourself.

That being said, why waste your time in a club or bar if you're trying to meet women. You really should be going somewhere where approachable women are such as a bookstore, or coffee shop, or even the grocery store. This is where it's actually very normal to be alone, and women won't even give it a second thought.

In these more common ground places half of your battle has been won already.

If you're looking to just go out and hook up, and have some fun, then go out and have fun. Fun and Confidence are both attractive traits and if you show that, you'll have nothing to worry about.

Just don't be the dork trying to pick up every woman. We've all seen that guy, and know what he looks like. Do the opposite!

Good luck brother!

I do think it throws off your game, some women may take it as desperate. But if you do go out with your married friends, that's a great pick up line "hey, I'm here with my friends but they are all married and I'm feeling like a third wheel. Would you like to join us for a drink". This could work to your advantage because then you and the new interest are not completely alone and it may be a more relaxing setting for her. I hope you find a strategy that works, it sucks to be alone on date night.
