Bush is not a great president. Not at all. He has done some things right, but not much.
Positive:
1. Going after the Taliban after 9/11. Afghanistan is now a relatively free country.
2. Supporting Israel. Bush is possibly the most pro-Israel president since Nixon.
3. Tax cuts. I used my $300 rebate to pay my rent.
Negative:
1. NCLB is a mess. It is harder than ever to become a teacher. Teachers have to teach to tests, not teach for the sake of learning. It is underfunded to the point that several States are suing the feds to get their funding.
2. Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks, 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia--that's who we should have attacked. Besides, SA has more oil than Iraq anyway.
3. Tax cuts. I needed my $300 rebate, Bill Gates didn't.
4. What has Bush done to control illegal immigration?
5. Leaks. He's the president, for crying out loud. He needs to control his administration.
6. I'm getting tired of his kissing up to the Christian Right. We don't need a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Only once in history has the Constitution been amended to restrict our rights, and that one was repealed.
7. Illegal immigration. Offering illegals amnesty and fast-tracking them to citizenship will not discourage illegal immigration.
8. Most importantly, where is bin Laden?

No, that does not change my opinion of you...Since I don't know you, I have no opinion of you. I also make a distinction between the sin and the sinner, the person and what they think. God, I suppose, loves you--and maybe your mother...As for your opinion about Bush, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine. However, when you present an opinion for discussion, you should back up your opinions with facts or arguments.
1. According to some conservatives and right-wingers and academics, 9/11 may have been an inside job (Bush and Mossad, the Israeli spies). We do not have the facts on 9/11, so we cannot make a judgment about it. What hit the pentagon? What made the third building (unhit) collapse? Who was really involved? Iraq is a mess, a war that should never have happened had Mr. Bush not set out to upstage his father and show him. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis--lots of them children--dead. No end in sight. Afghanistan is back in Taliban hands (except Kabul). Iraq is in a civil war. Great military!
2. Surrounded himself with Yes men and woman. Do you call his nomination of a totally unqualified woman to be supreme court justice a sign of good judgment?
3. He has the morals of a snake. Look at how he defamed a war hero (illegitimate child) in the presidential campaign. Look at how he uses the fear-card, the terrorism card, and other underhanded methods, even including what appears to be outright fraud, to win elections. If this man has morals, then Bin Laden is a Catholic choir boy.
4. He also will not allow pictures to be taken of coffins. There is talk that there are many thousands more war dead, suicides, and wounded than the government says.
5. He's also rude, ill-mannered, ill-bred, illiterate, foul-mouthed, cruel, and totally self-centered.

(a million) this isn't real. (2) On Rumsfeld's watch the U. S. military has been stretched to the snapping factor on 2 fronts, both one among them below-offered with little lengthy-decision planning. Gonzalez re-defined "torture" especially to allow the U. S. to torture prisoners--a number of whom are really threat free--at the same time as arguing before the finest courtroom that the president would not ought to obey the regulation. The SOI promotes "voluntary compliance" of environmental regulation, which means in basic terms those regulations in basic terms isn't enforced. This White homestead went from a balanced funds to the biggest deficits in our heritage. The list is going on. (3) George W. Bush has close ties to convicted felons and in my view ordered the deaths of further human beings as Governor of Texas than another Governor mixed. for someone with a "sparkling existence-kind" he looks distinctly sopping wet in crime and blood to me. (4) So what? That in basic terms means he's a wise baby-kisser. (5) i do not look him that way in any respect. I see him as conceited. techniques you, I also do not imagine his personality is amazingly germaine. The presidency is a job. you do not employ a mind well-known practitioner because you want his jokes yet for ability at mind surgical operation. The president needs to be solid at being president, no longer inevitably a effective human being.

You are fooled.
I voted for him twice, but I think I was fooled as were many people.
I think his agenda is not what he says.
It is NEW WORLD ORDER.
Look at a few things that fly in the face of conservatism:
1. BIG govt. spending
2. CAFTA
3. Free trade with China (our communist enemy in case you forgot)
4. Open borders with Mexico
5. A policy of nationbuilding instead of putting America first.
6. Doing nothing to further energy independence.
7. Curtailing constitutional rights with The Patriot Act.
If Iraq were about security, we would'nt be wasting soldier's lives attempting the impossible - bringing civilization to a bunch of tribal savages. We'd establish a provisional govt. and move on.
Sorry. He's not a true conservative.
I've switched my affiliation to the constitution party.
BTW - I always thought Rumsfeld was an arrogant idiot, but that's besides the point.

I think GW is doing a good job. I like Condi Rice, Michael Bolton (ambassador to the UN), Chertov.
I think that the war on terror is tough - it is much easier for people to criticize than to take a stand and lead -- And GW has lead.
He's made mistakes and he's had some wins. I wish we would come together as a nation and get angry at the real enemy instead of turning on each other and politicizing it.
God Bless America!!

I think George Bush done the best he could considering the circumstances. Although I haven't agreed with everything he has done, I honestly think he has done a better job than the Democrats would have.

Yes, while you may be a fine American with a good motive, you are politically inept and are blinded to the truth that Bush is a totally incompetent president who has lost allies, overspent money, failed to solve or finish anything, and appointed only those who think like him to office.

He is strong and sticks to his convictions despite popularity ratings. I think George Bush is a good president.
As far as soldiers dying...this country is a free country because of these brave soldiers.
