Here we have a Genius for sure. Does the Bible tell us to go out and by a slave? NO.

If , Kind sir, you would study you would find out two things;

1). The Bible was written at a time when slavery was condoned. (it is not in our culture, still is in others). Slavery (thus) is no big deal. In fact the Bible even instructs you on how to put yourself into slavery for a time. (which I assume you will rush out and do).

2). The other point that you (massively) missed is that the instruction was how to be a Godly follower of Christ in the culture whether owner or slave.

1 Believer showing up.

I say Suanne has it right. I say Amen to that. It is thosewho truly do not understand the love and mercy of the Lord that mock them. I feel very bad for them. Salvery was soos akin to jobs for some people and even at that God ordered that the slaves be treatred very well.

Here's my answer to Jim's slavery question, Selnyk.

Step 1: Leviticus 25:45 (Jim's beginning focus) telling us we can enslave an immigrant's children;

Step 2: Leviticus 19:18b: "you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD."

Step 3: Leviticus 19:33 ‘And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. 34 The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God." Consider also Exodus 22:21 “You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt."

Step 4: Deut. 27:26 "26 ‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’”

Step 5: James 2:10 "For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all."

Step 6: Question: according to the above Scriptural sources, does one show love for one's neighbor, or for the "stranger," if he enslaves that person's children? What does this tell you about Lev. 25:45; is it lawful for anyone to perform it?

Jesus told us He came to fulfill and glorify the Law. He repeatedly rebuked the Pharisees for applying a strict, legalistic view of the law that cut out God's mercy. He also rebuked them for their mistaken belief they were qualified to carry out God's proscribed judgements, given in the law. This is the reason why they all walked away from the adultress and didn't stone her to death -- they had all violated one or another of the Laws, which disqualified them from punishing her.

The point is, you cannot violate one law in order to follow another. Anyone who truly loves God would understand this.

Peace.

He asks accusing questions. He doesn't accuse for debate he accuses because of, it seems to me, hatred for God and all Christians. If he had a problem with religion he would accuse all religions. Christians are his biggest target. Why is that? That fact alone speaks volumes.

Obviously, You and James are stuck on stupid by asking bias questions. He has ran out of so-called creative questions and presented a repeated question which should of been reported. That question is racist and so is this one!
