It depends on what 'therapy' they use at the rehab. I believe AA and also the administration of drugs to curb the craving for alcohol do not help. The only way a person can stop problem drinking is if they decide they want to stop. The rehab won't do it for them. A holistic treatment for addiction can work.

It depends on the person, the rehab, and a lot of other things. I went to Victory Outreach Christian Women's Home Rehab and it has an 85% success rate for those who 'finish' the one year program. I went in 2002 and am still living clean and set free. I truly believe that God did a change in me and that is why because I had been to a couple others since 1995 and never stayed clean.

The truth when someone is an alcolholic, there recovering and thats what they call them. the longer the program the more hope is that they won't be tempted to drink. But once they take a drink they can't stop. So no drink would be the way. Hope this helps.
