There are lots of reasons that it is "hard" to find a job these days. For one, the use of the Internet and other e-sources has made it easier for potential candidates to get their resumes to companies. This additional competition for open jobs means that employers can be more selected and make sure that they get the most qualified person for the job.
In addition jobs themselves aren't hard to find, it's finding a higher paying job that can be difficult. This is due to the fact that a lot of jobs are Temporary jobs as employers see the benefits to not having to worry about benefits and if the market slows cutting temporary jobs is easier than laying off employees. If you are willing to start at an entry level job that is temp-to-hire, you can work your way into just about any organization. On the other hand if you want to start at a higher than entry level position then you need to make sure you are the best at what you do and always find a niche within the potential company you are looking to work for. If you fill a niche it makes you that much more valuable.

It's very difficult to find a good paying job these days. Part of it is due to so many of the companies making their products overseas and using people from other countries to do all the work. If someone here were to earn $10.00 an hour, in China the pay would probably be like 26 cents an hour. Companies are always looking for ways to save money. They only hire people when there is a need. Most companies are either downsizing, or sending their work overseas where labor is cheap. Good luck ! :)

There are too many people in the job market - more people thatn jobs. I applied for about fifty jobs when I finishe uni. I got six interviews, and landed one job which luckily I really like. Just be persistant and apply for anything you think you're capable of doing. It's very srtessful but probably the only way if you really need a job. In the meantime, prove to your prospective employer that you're not lazy by doing some voluntary work.

Start sentences with capital letters, use an apostrophe when using contractions such as "can't". Spell words like "what" correctly, place full stops at the end of sentences and write "I" with a capital letter. I don't think it's any harder to find a job nowadays than it was say 20 years ago. I suggest you look for a job where spelling and punctuation is not important. Cleaning or at a supermarket checkout should be fine.

The main reason that we cant find jobs is because of the immigration situation in this country. The government allow all these people in but forget that they have their own people to think about first.

Good quality childcare is in short supply, that is probably why you are having trouble finding anyone to work for.
Your best bet is to start your own childcare business. Talk to Business Gateway, they offer lots of advice and grants to get you started.

there's so many people to trying for the same jobs and not enough employers to go around. keep your head up and keep on trucking you will get your foot in the door. And this has nothing to do with immigrants taking those jobs for half pay. the jobs that these immigrants have are the jobs that most Americans do not want to do because they are to good for them. and most often these immigrants get taken advantage of instead of paid.

start doing work experience. nothing is more impressive to an employer then to see that you are taking the initiative to work for them, out of your own free accord in your own free time, and without pay. always works a treat.

You could emigrate to some of the countries where most of today's UK population have come from, as they must be virtually empty by now.
