wear your tightest jeans.. when u feel hungy. ;0)

some times thirst is perceived as hunger.. so drink a glass of water when hunger strikes..if you still feel the urge to eat..best thing is to call a friend and chat..or open up a puzzle book ..do sudoku... when ur mind is busy..it doesn't think of food..

get a hobby like golf, tennis, cycling, swimming...it keeps u occupied and in shape..

have weight control buddies..join weight watchers.. and calculate the points before gobbling up.

then if you still want to satisfy hunger.. choose fresh friuts and nuts instead of cookies and chips..

eat good breakfast with proteins like eggs, sprouts etc.. and drink a glass of hot milk after that.. you won't feel hungry for a long time..

eat all the meals.. but control the portion...don't snack
good luck

1. WALK - get out of the house & away from food. Walking is good exercise, and you soon forget about cravings when you get out & see interesting things. If the weather is uncooperative & you have to substitute the treadmill or stationary bike, turn on your favorite uptempo CD & sing along to get your mind off eating.
2. DRINK A BIG GLASS OF COLD WATER - If you are not really hungry (just wanting to snack), water helps you feel full & can squelch the craving. Also, if you are craving something really badly, drink the water & give in a smidge (i.e. not a whole Hershey's chocolate bar, just one 'square' or a Kiss, after the glass of water. Total denial can not work your whole life, so learn to compromise.

I heard someone once say about the weight battle: 'To be cured, alcoholics have to stop drinking, gamblers have to stop gambling - but people can't stop eating. We have to learn to CONTROL it - that is much harder.' So, fight the good fight & chose carefully!

Whatever it is that you have cravings for, try dividing up and eating it for a longer period of time and also use substitution. For example...if you like candy bars, buy protein bars instead. Cut them up into bite size pieces, put them in a baggy and snack on it throughout the day rather than eating it all at once. When you feel a munchy moment, pop one or two bites, rather than the whole bar. Additionally, drinking 64oz of water per day is recommended for anyone who wished to lose wt. It is filling but also will help to flush out toxins faster and keep you "going" so that you're not retaining fluid. Also, try sugarless gum 3 to 4 times per day. Sometimes, the sensation of just having something in your mouth, like gum, will subside the urge to eat. Hope that helps!

Do anything that keeps your hands and/or mouth busy so that you won't eat. I sew while watching tv. I chew gum while playing computer/video games. I drink vodka with diet coke while organizing my closet (that's a weird one, but it works!). Listen to music and take a walk. Play with your dog. Go to the mall and try on clothes you wish you could afford/fit into. Just do something else! Drink diet soda and eat hot veggie broth. If all else fails, eat a cracker naked in front of the mirror. You won't want to eat much else after that!

Find something positive to do besides eating, like going for a walk. Replace the void that eating will leave when you take it out of your life as an activity.

Keep your hands busy. Every time that I get bored and think I may start eating I grab my yarn and needles and start to knit. I've knitted 3 blankets so far but I also lost a lot of weight! If you don't know how to get then get a how to book. It's really simple.

Drink lots of water.
Make a deal with yourself that you have to take a 30 minute walk before you eat if it is not a designated meal time.
Good luck

Do something instead or i heard that if you just replace whatever you're about to eat with a glass of water it helps!
