If you really want to walk your cat, buy him a harness and make sure you have a Bengal. I take mine for walks everyday and she loves it.

I live in a condo and have been taking my cat outside for walks ever since he was little. He likes to chase the bugs, cackle at the birds, eat the grass, and play with the water skippers at the pond.

Some people think I am nuts - I just keep doing though. Many people that are out when we take our stroll want to stop and pet him, talking about how you train a cat to use a leash/harness.

You are absolutely right about them walking you. If TY doesn't feel like walking for any reason, I end up carrying him for most of the walk.

I did see the a kitty stroller the other day. I thought about it for a bit & then decided that was taking it too fair though.

Thanks for the video.

I really enjoyed the video, thanks! The only think I would suggest to your friend is that he use a harness and not a collar. Harnesses work far better than collars for leash training and walking a cat on a lead. With a harness you can still have an breakaway collar with an ID tag on the cat. It takes a bit longer for a cat to get used to a harness, but once they do, it's the best way to go.

Nice video many people do train their cats to go outside on a leash but you should use a harness not a collar.

I have 2 cats and I keep both of them in the house. I just recently started taking them outside on their leash and it feel so comfortable taking them outside now without them running off and afraid they can't find their way home. Who ever thought of the cat leash...GOD BLESS YOU!

We're on dialup, so I couldn't watch the whole thing, but if you MUST bring your cat outside, this *IS* the way to do it!

Kudos!
