Molting? I think you mean shedding..First of all, this breed does shed like crazy..but it could mean a number of things: He's not getting the nutrition he needs, has allergies, or a skin parasite..You could try an all-natural food that is geared toward a healthy coat, also check his skin out, look for redness or flakiness..If not any of this maybe you need to try a different type of brush..consult a groomer on this-they should be able to tell you what will work best by looking at the dog...

Its the molting season right now, we have a golden retriever and we can just pull her clumps of loose fur out without brushing her, it usually lasts about 3/4 weeks, sometimes stress can make your dog moult more though, is your puppy stressing or nervous, try massaging the top of his shoulders everyday for a few minuets, it helps to calm them down and cuts down on moulting too, good luck.

A drop of cod liver oil in it's food will do the trick and it gives the coat a great shine as well as looking after the joints as it gets older, i have a 16 year old dog and she is still as active, goes on long walks and plays with her 6 year old sister. Never had to take her to the vets only for her booster.

That's a breed of dog that sheds alot. Hmm, I don't know if it works, but I've seen "shed control" type shampoo at the pet stores. Also, what kind of brush are you using? For a Jack Russell (wirey haired normally), I would use one of the metal combs:

Good luck! If nothing else, ask a groomer.

It's the time of year! He'll stop moulting eventually. Anyway most dogs like a good brushing!

He could be at the age where he's shedding his puppy coat which means all his hair over a little while. Otherwise he's just losing his summer coat to get his thicker winter one. Shedding in spring is even worse! Enjoy your puppy

It's the time of year and his age when he gets older the moulting Will be seasonal, but if you are worried take him to a vet there may be environmental or diet issues.

If you have central heating, and using it, this can cause molting to increase, you can get a mixture from the vet which I think you put on their food. Good Luck

l hav a 2yr old jack and he looses hair all year. as already said he is probally loosing his puppy coat and also getting ready for winter warmth.dont bath him to often in the hope of getting rid of the excess hair. lt will only wash out his natural oils and make him unwaterproof and itchy.
