I camped on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and I was a little let down. The thing is just too big to fully appreciate - you can be on the rim looking at the thing, and you might as well be starting at a poster or even a postcard, because it looks exactly the same.

If you go, then definitely try to arrange a trip that puts you on the Colorado River. I think I'd enjoy it more being *in* the Canyon with all the high cliffs surrounding me.

yeah, so many are!

most are great to get up close to/inside of etc, but after some photos it is like, hrrmm, lets go home now.

I have visited so many tourist attractions in my life and they are all lame compared to going to a local village/town or going to a good bar for the night.

Disney World, Dinsney Land, Sea World, Hollywood....I suppose I could go on and on, these places were just way too expensive and over crowded for us. Even my kids were not thrilled with either of the Disney places, Sea World San Antonio is fun, but only in the off season, otherwise you spend too long waiting in line for the rides, and the kids get antsy....Hollywood is great for star sightings, but only at night, and it's really scummy.....the walk of fame, and all that is in a really shadey area, lot's of pick pockets and muggers....I was not super impressed.

If you have too many expectations, any of them can be disappointing. Learn what you can about them before you select which you want to visit and have a plan to do specific things when you get there.

i replaced into after I went to Vancouver B.C. i had to make certain Granville Island (for the marketplace area). They were declaring it replaced into like a marketplace of all kinds of stuff ( i presumed nutrients, crafts, all that stuff). It replaced into all nutrients (no longer a lot cooked both) VERY disappointing many of the different effective aspects were ok in spite of the reality that. loved STANLEY PARK !! Oh and Venice, Italy (San Marco to be more desirable good).. Very mattress adventure there, will try back to bypass to Venice, yet no the position close to that city. loved the homes in spite of the reality that so beautiful.

The Alamo.
Disney sucks too. Though thats just my opinion.
Universal sucks, again my opinion. I hate the parks.
The Gateway Arch in St Louis is a sleeper.
