1.) Deal with it cause thats life sometimes.
2.) Forgive him unless he makes a habit of it.
3.) Don't answer your phone the next time he calls you. Instead wait a few hours then call him back.
4.) Tell him don't say he is going to call if he is not going to follow thru.
5.) Call him.

hmm.. maybe get dressed and go out to see a friend or lay down and let your mind run free or clean the room or eat something or check your mail or check if your passport expired or try on that pair of shoes/shirt/jacket/mirror/perfume you bought last week or watch movie or shopping or read a book or comb your hair or have a suntan or have a nice walk or have a real close look at your face in the mirror or clean the carpet or walk the dog or call your mum then have an argument or tying silly away in Yahoo answer.....

my boyfriend does that all the time its like he get distracted and forgets I'm trying to be patient with it but since he has been out of town I haven't heard from him I hope he is OK don't call him though you will make yourself feel stupid for calling because they are always I'm busy working or can I call you back and forget.

Being as u feel blown off, don't be the nagging girlfriend and whine that he didn't call you. You have a life other than with him so lead it!
DO NOT let your life revolve around him otherwise you'll get hurt very badly.

Act like you don't care and start making plans to do other thing without him, that way when he does call you will already have other plans, watch him start calling all the time.

id say move on...if its not a serious relationship. depending on how long ago he was supposed to call...from my experience...its better not to dwell on it.
on the other hand..if it is a serious relationship...id say give it a few days..then call him and see whats up. maybe something bad happened and he is dealing with it and isnt calling...
