Because you said something that got someone's panties in a bunch. They report you and then log in on all their additional aliases to report you. Yahoo just issues the violation without even bothering to read the question because there are multiple complains about a question.

The reporting system is highly subjective.

I don't know. I was in violation the other day for asking why questions were being removed AS VIOLATIONS.
I'm getting fairly sick of this site, to be honest with you - I'm off -

...... but not before I mention that it was probably a lot of Americans reporting you because, as we should all know, the British, Australians and Indians had very little to do with the Second World War as infact, Ben Affleck saved the world in his cockpit.

Because the Yanks like to take the glory for everything! Make a mountain out of a mole hill and over dramatise everything.

They didn't want to know what was going on in the WORLD WAR until Pearl Harbour )and yes it's HARBOUR, not Harbor, it's the English language) as soon as anyone dares to attack America it's the 'how dare they' attitude, same with terrorism, they didn't want to know when we were being bombed by the IRA, in fact they sympathised with the scum.

Because the whole violation reporting system stinks. Anybody with a poor sense of humor or an imagined affront to their senses or just a plain desire to follow you around reporting you, can click on the "Report Abuse" button and you're history.

I think that "Report Abuse" is so mis-used and so wrongly used that it should either be eliminated all together or reserved for ONLY those postings that are obviously disgusting to any normal, sane person and not for someone who is merely answering a legitimate question.

You are NOT in violation, as you put it. India supplied hundreds of thousands of soldiers to fight for the then British Empire in WW2. These troops mostly served in the far east, Burma etc. Indian troops took part in the Victory parade in London after VE and VJ days.

Read the History of WWII and you probably worded the
suggestion wrong, because I can't understand why you would have gotten a Violation.

Because people on here are a bunch of liberal idiots. They believe anything that offends them should be censored, oblivious to the fact that that type of narcissism is highly offensive to people around them. They are the worst type of hypocrites.....
