No .. not at all. Spring wrappers are the Egg Roll wrapers, often made with rice flour. Philo dough is a Puff Pastry, several layers of thin dough, seperated with a fat, used in desserts.

no spring wrappers are very thin and they dont puff up like philo dough. phyllo dough is used more like in bakalava.spring wrappers are used kinda like egg roll wrappers

phyllo pastry is very thin layers of paper thin pastry, greek origin and layered with extra butter/oil honey to help it acheive its flakey propeties. Spring roll wrappers have the addition of egg to enrich the dough and give it flexibility to roll around fillings, it is a stronger pastry with low protein letting it not absorb too much oil when deep frying so it wont be to heavy
