I was home-schooled. You can set it up with the school district. They would need to take a CAT test or something similar every year to make sure they are still being involved with education. You can get a copy of each of the school books, or buy books at a bookstore. The kids needs to be tested by the school district every year until they are 16 years old by law, at least here in New Hampshire. Contact your State's Education Department for more information on the laws in your state regarding education and children.
My mother used Reader's Digest, National Geographics as other teaching materials. Also my mother used trips to the store as part of Home Economics and Math class. We went to many different places like the Science center, galleries and museums. As long as your kids are being tested every year by the school district and they are within the average range for their ages, you should not have too much problem.
Also be aware that your kids can still access the extra curricular activities provided by the school because the taxes are being paid and your children are allowed to participate in various activities. Also I encourage getting involved with volunteer activities, community theatre, workshops, and things like music or art lessons. Then the kids would not be so isolated and they will be exposed to other sources of education without you having to know everything.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

WOW! This is our future huh? Educated by 6th grade drop outs. Makes me feel all warm and cozy.
EDIT: Why don't you look into private schools before you doom their futures.
EDIT AGAIN: Scratch the last edit, Since you obviously don't know self control or birth control your probably trash living off the government and can't afford private schools. Wow these poor kids get a double wamy. This whole post is boiling my blood.

Why don't you spend your time doing something more productive than goofing around in Yahoo Answers creating havoc? If you are for real, which I highly doubt you are, you have multiple personalities: your a short, fat woman; a married man who carries his laptop into the bathroom; a teenaged cheerleader and who knows what else.
Stop wasting people's time.

I would be a little concerned about your ability to home school appropriately based on your limited education and obvious inability to do math.

Interesting name you have. I would answer your question if it was legitimate.
Eight kids huh? Six boys and three girls? Nice math.
"New studies show that, contrary to popular mythology.....the average home-schooled child has no problem 'socializing' with other children......as long as he remembers to use smaller words and shorter sentences."

Don't waste our time.
You are messed up.
There are so many legitimate homeschoolers out here.
Has anyone reported you for abuse of this Yahoo! forum?
And, duh.... you can't count.
