I am a future scientist, very successfull in highschool. I prefer to read and do something creatively over going out and "having fun in clubs" or.. "jerking around with your crew". My classmate speaks: "You don't know how to have fun. You learn too much. You will never find a girlfriend." I am 15, I have never had a girlfriend, but not because I couldn't find one (girls like me - they think I am handsome), but because I am waiting for the real one, for the one I will marry with and lose my virginity with.
Is it OK for me to stand up to my principles?
Am I OK?

You are wonderful - and don't let anyone else tell you differently.
The way you have your life planned out is the way the world is supposed to be.
To many are in a hurry to grow up.
My question is - what are they running away from?
Is their life now so miserable?
There are people out there that confuse sex and love.
It is not the same.
What they do not realize that when you give yourself to someone you are also giving them a piece of your soul.
When you give yourself to multiple partners what do you have left?
Emptiness and regret if you are lucky, AIDS, Herpies, Hepatits, or some other STD if you are not.
You are worth waiting for - and so is your future partner.
I am proud of you.

sure, that's fine. but i think what your classmate is trying to tell you is...you fit the stereotypical definition of what a nerd is. if you're okay with that, then yeah. it's all about whether or not you like you. the world needs people like you. cure cancer or something. but here's the thing. people that are very intelligent with principles can judge other people too. i went to school with a lot of very smart people that thought they were better than everyone else. it is possible to be social and be intelligent at the same time. i was successful in high school too.

Sure your OK. I guess focusing on our studies
is better than partying in clubs, but having a break once in while & having FUN isn't that bad.

and I think standing up 4 what u think right, Is a great thing! keep it up

You are perfectly okay and and not out of line with your goals or expectations. You have found a way to be master of your urges and have chosen to wait until a special friend come along. You are to be congratulated.
